Set a posting schedule
📅 Today’s challenge task is to set a schedule.
In order to show up consistently, you need to block that time out in your schedule. Even if it’s only 5 minutes a day!
⏰ So first, figure out what days and times work best for you.
When are you the most energetic?
When are you most likely to be “camera ready”?
When are you going to be least distracted?
Note, there WILL be times where it’s not an ideal situation. If you’re at home with kids or pets 24/7, there’s no “perfect” time, however there will be times that are more ideal than not. The goal is to shoot for times that are more ideal, rather than less ideal.
Pro tip: the story doesn’t have to go LIVE at this time. This is just the time that you’re spending to CREATE your story. So if you are best at creating Stories at midnight, great. Film at midnight, then upload when you want it to go live.
📲 Then schedule those times into your favorite app.
You can use either a calendar with reminders or simply use the “alarm” feature in your standard clock app.
Set it so that you’re notified regularly.
Let’s say you want to show up every weekday at 8 AM. –> Set an alarm to go off every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 8:00 AM.
🚫 Don’t want to spend an hour on stories?
Easy! Set a timer. Force yourself to create a Story within your given time frame.
YOU control how much time you want. If you only want to spend 15 minutes, set a timer for 15.
If you want to create a high-value post that day, try setting your timer for a little bit longer.
But once the timer is done, give yourself permission to post what you have because DONE is better than perfect.
This challenge is only four days, but CHALLENGE yourself for the next 30 days to show up every time you say you want to show up – even if it’s just a quick selfie. Post SOMETHING every day (that you choose to show up) for the next 30 days.
👉 If you’re all in, share your commitment in the community!
Can’t wait to see you all show up consistently for the next 30 days!
